No matter how long the sleeves, or low the hem, I find myself only performing on a stage where it does not seem to matter. The more I try to hide that I am a woman, the more I appear as one.

If social media felt the way it did to be around your friends, then perhaps there would be no need to turn away from it. Instead, it can often feel like going through people's darkest impulses.

We all know that comparison is the thief of joy. However, have you ever considered that comparison is the death of creativity.

The environment wasn't like anything I had known before. The way I lived my life in one environment was not something so easily replicable in another. However, that did not make this experience and the way my life was lived inferior. The experience was simply different. 

Lately, 'community' has become a buzz word of sorts. Everyone seems to be talking about building community. However, as we all differ, our needs from our communities do too.

If you cannot treat yourself with kindness, how can you be sure what you extend to others is kindness.

I suppose this is often why people say not to share your aspirations with others. In so doing, you invite their doubts, anxieties and fears into your world.

A place filled with wonder and revelations. Things are, but they also could be.

Watch your thoughts, be mindful of the disabilities your words are creating.

Novelty is rare, once it has been experienced, it seizes to be novel and that is life.
