087. Something Crazy

I want to do something crazy, and write in the middle of the day.

As I begin to write this, I truly hope I will be able to find all the words I wish to say. All the words that within a moment of distraction, could be lost to hours unknown. How many times have I thought this is the day, this is that moment when the thought I begin in this moment will be the though that lives to see the stage that is the Full Send. With only days left, will today be the day when I finally write during the day, with all the time in the day left to spare?

I would be lying if I didn’t say I hope it is. To allow me more time to ruminate in this moment, I have added some more milk to my pots of oats.

It is known if I have always loved oats. What is known, is that in recent years, I have grown very fond of the multitudes of ways in which they can be made. I’m not sure if I would say I have a favourite, and I care not to list the ways in which they could be made either. I feel as though those would be discoveries better made through one’s own curiosity. Thusly, I will not take away from you the experience I had wanting to know how a simple grain can offer so much range beyond a simple bowl of porridge, all the while still offering so much complexity within a simple bowl of porridge.

I am certain they is a parallel that can be drawn to resemble such design and wonder to life. Perhaps something like how ‘life is like a box of chocolates’. Something to the essence of if you are willing to find out, there is much wonder life can show you. And I want to discover. And, a weird place to start is patience.

Before I was here, I was in a zoom meeting. Somewhere in it, a thought was inspired. One that lead me to open word and keep for continuance. Some minutes later, the minute was over, and next to me was my bowl of oats that had just begun to simmer. So, I thought, then the thought continued then I wondered, could this be the moment. Could this be that little pocket of time where my thoughts can attempt to find linearity. So far, I am here.

And just like that with a call from work, all my work to hold on to this moment, my tether to this line of thought, almost gone. I guess, today is not that day. Today I am here, right as rain, bright as day, ready to go, ready to start.

The day young and I don’t know what I will do with all the time I just freed up for myself in the evening. I feel so excited having had written this standing, with my computer propped up on the microwave, while I make my oats. Who know this is who this moment would be found, who would have ever guessed that this when this moment would be found. Either way, the journey here was been an interesting one. Having had finally written in the light of day, I am so excited to discover the depth of flavour and warmth my bowl of oats has to offer.

From this here amazing pocket in time, I wish you a beautiful day, whenever you find this. And of course as you make your way to finding this little pocket of time, I hope you learn to appreciate the little moments in life, because you never know when something crazy could happen. With that dear reader, abientôt.
