079. Wonder I Shall

Have you ever had a day where you as though you need to be on your way somewhere, but nothing is getting done?

I have had one of those days that just kind of starts waiting to start to happen, almost as though the day isn’t enough on its own.

A day lived pending.

At some point today, I’m sure, the minutes felt as though they were dragging by.

In truth, I am unsure if that is the case, however, I wouldn’t want to invalidate a past self and her experience.

As I sit here, even this isn’t the main event. Just a stop along the way.

I wonder if my sister would be bothered by this style of writing.

I wonder if you would.

Then I wonder, but, if this best communicates what I mean,

Then does it matter?

Alas, there are places to be so I needn’t ponder too long.

The end of the week can often feel so peculiar. Almost like the crashing weight of realisation that where your work is, that it where it is. I know this may not be what we all think about when the weekend is at its crescent, however for me, every now again, approaches a weekend where I feel as though I have not done as much as I could have. Oh, what a burden that is to carry.

Today was a slow day. A slow day that was quickly gone.

Every moment swiftly passing by.

Then, just as the day was beginning to settle, night has quickly come, and it is time for bed.

Already, tomorrow must begin.

Tomorrow begins with preparation; preparation from the night before.

A guide for the day ahead; a good night’s rest; then a strong start in the morning.

However, not every strong is equal. Not every day looks the same, and that is among the many beauties of life.

There is much that could be said about the kind of day that today was. I suppose I could start another line of thought, perhaps see where that leads me; however, in this little spiral, it has already gone too far and taken me nowhere.

I thought if I attempted to dissect today, then perhaps I would be able to place my finger on what the matter perhaps might have been. However, in so doing, I have now borrowed time from morning. A brand new day that is yet to be filled.

As prepare for tomorrow, my today is so quickly becoming my yesterday. Time past that will never be rewritten or relived. With those non-options taken off the table, I can see clearly.

The only time that can be written is yet to come.

The only life to be lived is in this moment,

And if I am fortunate enough,

Then the next one after that.

Perhaps if I can write it well enough, my tomorrow is to be better than my today.

Now that is something worth the wonder.

So, wonder I shall.

Dear reader, I am feel so deeply tired and in need of sleep. Thank you for being there in your own little pocket of the world doing all that you can. Tomorrow is a new day. Let us let it be it’s own day and enjoy it as it comes.
