066. Wordier Words

I am glad I took that break, but I did not expect this to be the outcome.

So, the usual expectation of letting a thought fully run all while trying to make sure it’s fully beefed up is going to be changing. Honestly, I am a little shocked that I somewhat just disappeared for a moment there. I truly did not expect that to happen. Somewhere along the way, it just happened, and I let it.

My writing for the last few has been a little scattered and all over the place. I did not intend for it to happen but, it somehow did. The transition from one life to another was not as seamless as I thought it would be. Even now, I have lowered my minimum word count to allow myself some ease as I approach the keyboard.

All the thoughts that come to mind sound like excuses when I attempt to type them. Almost like my hands won’t allow me to, I have to think up new thoughts I want to speak into existence. Earlier today, I heard that ‘the knowledge in your head isn’t an asset until it is outside your head’, so in the spirit of that, I am simply glad that I am here finally, sharing my thoughts.

Trying to reach for those few hundred words feel though.

After some time, you fall out of practice. Then, suddenly, in conversation, you remember a thought you once had on the very subject matter. A thought that ran for sentences, perhaps even ran in circles trying to find a point, then you remember, you wrote it once. The most beautiful part about all of that is, if new information is presented, then the wonder comes, perhaps I could write more knowing what I know now.

Honestly, I think the last time I watched the word count so intently was in university.

Every part of my tired self is enjoying this. I would love to snarl about how time could have been made earlier in the day but, I life my day, and I lived it fully. Up and down, then up again only to go down and around again. I had such a lovely day and all I can think about now is the number of words that stands between me and the sleep that separates me from tomorrow in other to take another shot at life. Slowly, my tomorrow nears, as today ends.

I want to reveal in the beauty of today. I want to enjoy it fully in these last moments I have before I meet tomorrow. As much as the day was wonderous, I must let it go in order for me to appreciate the wonder tomorrow holds.

Honestly, I am so happy I am doing this. Writing these words, canvasing my mind for more wordier words to build and construct these sentences in the appropriate structure in order to formulate a complete though. Honestly, that has to be my favourite sentence in all of this, ‘wordier word’; how is that even a word?

Alas, I have reached the word count. A part of me feels like I’m coping out, but, another part of me knows that I showed up today, finally. Knowing that I am here, yet again, provides me the comfort to know that if all I need to do everyday is pull together a measly 500 words, then do it, I must.

Dear readers, my keyboard just suggested the ‘s’ at the end of my usual ‘reader’, so I guess, why not. I am certain more than one person out there is reading these so…yea, dear readers, thank for allowing me your patience as I made my way back to you. Thank you kindly, I cannot wait to see how the remaining 24 days will go. WOW!!! Just 24 days left.
