052. Getting Steps In

Hello from the great outdoors.

I have been on the move for majority of my day. I guess I have finally entered the phase where you are trying to capitalise on all the experiences that you possibly can, and now, my feet are tired. But, my heart is full.

It's been hours between now and those first few sentences.

I am finally settled-in somewhere. Earlier, I began to grow anxious as I could feel it would be hours before I was anywhere near my computer and able to write. This has now become a part of my rhythm so for there to be such a delay, especially considering how far this moment looked, I remembered computers are phones too.

I'm not sure what thoughts I had then about what I would write about but there were definitely thoughts. I thought perhaps I would write about the sort of calm pressure that lingered through my day. A sort of need to seize the day.

Today I met I lady who I wish I had met earlier along my journey. However, had I not met her today, then the moment that led to me hearing all her suggestions would not have happened. Today really reminded me that you should not be afraid to go up to strangers and just say hello, or ask where they got something. If you like something of theirs, perhaps you have similar taste, and maybe they would give you recommendations for places you would much enjoy.

I spent the day on an adventure that I can only think of as last minute shopping. As the day for my departure nears, it turns out, there is much I haven't done. My life feel into a rhythm that had very little adventure. Something I am not upset about. With the way my feet are pulsing, I am glad that such adventures only come once in a while.

If it were any other day, I wouldn't see the point in getting so many steps in. All the browsing, and exploring becomes unnecessary when you know you can always go back to the place whenever.  However, now that the days are numbered and all booked up, I am back to wondering if I would want to return to this land.

I wonder, is this what is meant by leave them wanting more.

My interest has been peeked. Would I come back, perhaps. Is this the adrenaline of the final days making me contemplate? Definitely. In those first days, everything was ahead of me, there was so much that could be done and I imagined, along the way, it would sort itself out. What I am learning now, without the push of the final days, I probably still would not have made that extra effort needed to get an adventure off the ground.

So, hello from somewhere cozy.

Dear reader, the sun is nearly in the sky, but I wanted to make sure I finished the creation. Before I can sleep, I needed to know that I had done all that I could. Now, with my body fighting to stay awake, my mind slow, I know I have done my best. I hope to see you back here tomorrow for another day along this 90-day journey.
