046. Masterpieces

The effects of just doing.

Rarely do I browse this platform. I actually make an active effort to not browse as a user because I do not want to mess up the reading on my analytics. With little traffic, I want to be able to pinpoint what is working to boost traffic and what isn't. Browsing, messes up those analytics so, I refrain. However today, on the editor’s end, I had a little look at the home page where I noticed that opening quote - the effects of just doing.

This project has always been meant to serve as that push towards becoming. I found myself writing in circles, trying to find a starting point - trying to create a state of readiness, in order for me to make the public start on this project that would eventually lead to the aspirational end goal. Though, the more I circled, the bigger the circles grew with no escape in site. So, I thought, just launch, know what you want and, along the way, the rest will figure itself out. This writing challenge was one of those things that appeared along the way.

Day 46 - day one, of the other half of this challenge and, the notion of finding 'the right words' still slows the creative process. To a degree, I don't mind. Along this journey I have learnt that when it comes to trying to pull thoughts out of your mind, don't try too hard. Like walking into a room and immediately forgetting the reason that brought you there, sometimes you just have to go back to where you started and allow the thought to come to you. Sometimes a thought pops in, you try to hold onto it but, for a moment, you look away and find yourself trying to remember what the thought was. Then in the shower, many moments later, it comes to you, then you remember;

You were never trying to create a thousand masterpieces but,‍ ‍

Hoping to find masterpieces among a thousand creations.

To many, the world is set in stone. It is what it is and within those boundaries, that is all it will be. There is no need for contemplation or wonder. There is no need to ponder over thoughts of what could because, what is, is.

To others, the world is a fluid and everchanging place. A place filled with wonder and revelations. Things are, but they also could be. There is much to discuss, much to ponder over.

To many, both these states are true and to others, only one; but to some, the answer is unknown. The only way to truly know which is true, is to find out. The way to find out, is through doing.

Before there were curriculums, there were people looking for answers to questions of their time. The further down the education pipeline you get, the more you realise, there is still great room for further exploration. At some point, the curriculums begin to look to you for answers.

We are all different. There are many of us who believe the world is set in stone; to them, there are no more answers to be found. There are others among us who see the world as fluid, an everchanging place where the questions that were once answered, carry revelations unbeknownst to those who do not seek them.

The second half of The Full Send has begun, and I look forward to discovering what thoughts my mind will follow. I wonder what answers will be found among them. I wonder the questions they will inspire. I hope among them, to find some masterpieces.

Dear reader, Welcome Back!!! I am so grateful to have been granted this little moment in your life. If you've got something you've been circling around, waiting to be ready to start, remember this, you are as ready as you will ever be. So, pick a point, and start. Know where you are going, and trust that you will figure it out along the way.

I have done all that I could today and I am eager to continue this week as I aspire to do my best.
